Shatla… a small idea that grew alongside the Taiz Entrepreneurship Festival 2024 with TEF’s support, transforming into a confident, expanding green venture that is leaving its mark on environmental entrepreneurship in Yemen.
From a simple trend… to an inspiring brand! My journey began with the Dubai trend, which gained remarkable attention—marking the very first step of my breakthrough. Then came my participation in the Taiz Entrepreneurship Festival, opening new doors for me; I connected with new customers, demand increased, and that was the moment I took my first steps into the wedding industry: trays, giveaways, and chocolates. And today, between the first festival and this year, it feels like a long journey—even though it has only been one year. Sweets Hem has grown and evolved; I now have a team of 4 workers and 4 special hostesses dedicated to wedding hospitality and event coordination. What started with simple trays… has transformed into a wide range of tray designs and sizes, along with cakes, tea service, and full wedding presentation and arrangements. It is a short journey in time… but a remarkable one in achievement—Alhamdulillah.
